Chicken Biryani

(Serves 4)
Approximate cost per serving: £2.55


Ingredients
 
2 tablespoon vegtable oil
3 chicken breast fillets, diced
1 large onion, finely sliced
3 tbsp curry powder (more if you like)
350g easy cook long-grain rice
700ml chicken/vegtable stock
250g frozen peas
 
Method
 
-Preheat the oven to 200'C
-Heat the oven in a large sauté pan and fry the chicken pieces, for 5-10 minutes / until browned.
-Tip in the onion and continue to fry for 5 minutes.
-Sprinkle in the curry powder and cook for a further minute.
-Stir in the rice and pour over the stock.
-Bring to the boil.
-Cover the pan (we used tin foil) and bake for 30 minutes.
-Cook the peas, in a pan or microwave, and stir them in.
-Serve

    Well, I'm from India, so I do love Biryani, and I think its quite cool that even English Folk eat this sort of stuff.
    Roflol, I guess I'll give it a go. Mum's likely to be proud. B|
    Hmm, if I may, however, I think that looks more like Pulav than Biryani, no? What do you reckon? :P
